Happy Monday all, after a few weeks of heavy news flow things seem to have quietened again for now but as usual I’ve rounded up some events and updates for you.

Cabral Gold (TSCV:CBR, OTC:CBGZF) announced the identification of another high-grade target as a result of ongoing reconnaissance work at their district-scale gold property, Cuiú Cuiú, in Brazil. The target, Tracaja, is 1.8km NNE of the existing Medusa target and is exhibits an average 74.9 g/t Au from 19 grab samples taken from the margins of historic placer workings. Drilling continues at the property, with 20 holes having been drilled so far at Medusa. You can learn more about Cuiú Cuiú here in our Project of the Week series.

Warrior Gold (TSXV:WAR) announced a non-brokered private placement to raise up to $1m through the issue of common shares and through-flow share units, at the price of $0.09 and $0.12 respectively. Common share sale proceeds will be dedicated to ‘general corporate purposes’ and working capital, whereas the through-flow share sale proceeds will be used for Canadian exploration expenses (that are eligible). The company are exploring the Goodfish-Kirana Property in Kirkland Lake, Ontario in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt. You can learn more about Goodfish-Kirana here in our Project of the Week series.

Vangold Mining (TSXV:VGLD) reported channel sample results from their El Pinguico gold-silver project in Mexico. Some impressive grades have been returned such as 47m @ 256 g/t Ag and 1.7 g/t Au, 15m @733 g/t Ag and 5.0 g/t Au, and 37m @ 66 g/t Ag and 0.83 g/t Au (values are weighted averages). More results can be found in the NR. The channels were taken in veins in the underground historic mine workings on the property, where the company is hoping to commence drilling at the end of this year.  You can learn more about El Pinguico here in our Project of the Week series.

IAMGOLD Corp. (TSX:IMG, NYSE:IAG) announced the remaining results from their 2602m exploration DD program at their Nelligan JV project in Quebec. Some results include 21.8m @ 2 g/t Au, 27m @ 1.11 g/t Au, and 17.3m @ 7.62 g/t Au. For more results, please see the NR. The property is host to gold in quartz-sulphide vein and disseminated sulphide mineralisation, although the latter dominates.

Glencore has announced that in H1 2021 Gary Nagle will take over from current CEO Ivan Glasenberg who said in 2018 that he would leave in 3-5 years. Gary Nagle is currently the head of Glencore’s coal division, which has promised to cap coal production to align with the Paris climate agreement targets[1].
