Enduro Metals (TSXV:ENDR, OTC:SIOCF, Frankfurt:SOG-FF) are a leading explorer focussed on British Columbia’s Golden Triangle. Their portfolio includes two major projects prospective for base and precious metals: Newmont Lake and Tom Cat. Unique to the minerals industry, Enduro employ a Golden Triangle ‘pepperoni pizza’ theory, in which well explored and well-endowed areas such as Stewart Camp and Eskay Camp, are pepperoni slices on a golden triangle pizza. Enduro believe their 63,800ha Newmont Lake project area is the right size to be a piece of pepperoni but requires much more exploration for this to be appreciated. Part of reaching the same level of understanding as camps such as Stewart and Eskay is drilling. Compared to these other well-developed areas, Newmont has hardly been drilled. The 4 areas comprising Newmont Lake are each a distinctly different system of mineralisation in distinctly different depositional environments, meaning there is the potential for Enduro to unravel district-scale potential using drilling, geophysical surveys and assaying new and historic samples and drill core. Exploration so far has continued to uncover new discoveries and extensions of known mineralisation, as well as help derive a detailed understanding of mineralisation controls and the geological model specific to their diverse area. In Q3 2020 for example, it was reported that they had encountered copper, gold, silver, zinc and lead mineralisation with drilling at Burgundy Ridge in the Newmont Lake project area while targeting the Green Rock breccia. Of particular interest to Enduro is the multielement hydrothermal system known as The Chachi Corridor and the high-grade gold-silver-copper system known as McLymont Fault, both of which they are actively exploring at the same time as testing other targets in the area. Diamond drilling is underway as of Q3 2020 with early results providing highligts of 8.85m @ 31.09 g/t Au in the McLymont Fault area. They operate from the scenic Newmont Lake Base Camp where they have established equipment storage facilities, communications infrastructure, transportation infrastructure, and accommodation for up to 50 people.
