Rupert Resources

Rupert Resources (RUP.V, RUPRF) are an advanced-stage exploration company with projects in Finland, Ontario, and British Columbia. Primarily their focus is on advanced exploration targeting multi-million-ounce deposits near their permitted Pahtavaara mill. The mill is located in the highly prospective and underexplored Central Lapland Greenstone Belt (CLGB), where Rupert have made six discoveries in the past 2 years proving not just their exploration prowess but the upscale potential of the Pahtavaara mine. Prospective for orogenic gold, Rupert’s exploration work on their Pahtavaara licenses has included a re-appraisal of the geological model to highlight areas of interest possessing the all-important structural control. The re-appraisal revealed a maximum footprint of 1,500m strike and 500m width, much larger than previous interpreted. Detailed ground geophysics, mapping, historic drill logging and >15,000m reconnaissance drilling all comprise the no-nonsense approach the company are taking to realise the wealth of this area.

Rupert Resources possess two other properties in Central Finland: Hirsikangas which has 2018 Inferred Resources (NI43-101) of 89koz at 1.2 g/t Au, and Osikonmaki. Both are confirmed to host orogenic gold in intensely sheared geology with strong structural control. Mineralisation is wide open Osikonmaki, which has a 2018 Resource Estimate of 3.23Mt Inferred Resources at 2.7 g/t gold. Looking forward for the properties, Rupert are planning to complete a Corporate Social Responsibility plan at Osikonmaki with additional environmental studies. Across the water in Ontario and British Columbia, the company have two exploration properties with historic production. Surf Inlet is one of BC’s largest past producers of lode-type gold which was produced in addition to silver and copper. Recently, not a lot of work has focussed on Surf Inlet as Rupert turn their sights to the CLGB however Surf Inlet remains a valuable property. Future exploration here will investigate underdeveloped targets and delineate the extents and nature of the mineralisation. Red Lake, Ontario, has seen more action as of 2020 with Rupert entering into a JV with Trilium Gold Mines Ltd. The latter are planning a strategic and targeted exploration program for the area including C$2m diamond drill program to test the down-dip extension of the High Grade Zone recognised at the producing Red Lake mine.
