Overview

Vangold Mining (TSXV:VGLD, OTC:VGLDF) are a junior precious and base metals exploration company currently operating 3 projects in Mexico, focussing on the near-term development potential of their flagship El Pinguico gold-silver project. Vangold team have decades of combined experience in geology, engineering, and capital markets. In fact, their country manager Gerado Dorado Cantu aided in the acquisition of El Pinguico to Vangold. Nearby their primary project, Vangold hold the Patito I and II claims which are prospective for epithermal gold-silver vein mineralisation with very similar geology to the well explored flagship. Historic mining here also shows tin mineralisation. Vangold have identified several areas of interest via magnetic anomalies and geochemical survey which require subsequent follow up exploration work. The neighbouring early-stage Analy project area amounts for 722 ha of historically mined land prospective for silver, lead, and zinc. Having never been subjected to modern exploration methods, much remains for Vangold to discover at Analy. First steps will include reconnaissance mapping, historic mine location, and sampling.

Vangold’s exciting flagship El Pinguico project resides in a recognised but under-appreciated silver-rich district with a long history of mining 7km from the UNESCO world heritage site Guanajuata City, Mexico. Historic mining targeted two main high-grade epithermal silver-gold bearing veins, El Pinguico and El Carmen, which are suspected to be splays of the regionally significant and well-endowed Veta Madre (Mother Vein). The current geological model suggests that Veta Madre intersects the El Pinguico property at depth. A suspected historic cut-off grade of 15 g/t Au Eq, so anything below that, theoretically, is still in the ground speaking to the high grade potential at El Pinguico. Assays thus far include 1.6m @ 629.6 g/t silver and 1.75 g/t gold, and 1.2m @ 4.59 g/t gold and 465.9 g/t silver. A key understanding from Vangold’s 2020 drill campaign will be characterisation of the mineralogy, which will further their understanding of the epithermal system and provide vectors for exploration in the wider district.
