Full piece:

Another week has passed. It looks like the attention around precious metal price increases has in fact hurt junior miners in European markets as investors are buying into ETFs and bullion, not our stocks.

By promoting and celebrating this price rise, we've probably shot ourselves in the foot, just like when we briefly hopped the boat and tried to play with cannabis stocks... What we have in mining is actual, solid resources with genuine demand and value... We have to stop taking flights of fancy to novelty trading markets and fads. Nobody will show confidence in us, if we don't show it in ourselves!

Auramex (TSXv : AUX) closed a fantastic placement at $500k to go drilling on their Georgie River prospect in 2020. With some 12km of historic core being logged over winter, they should have some respectable models to target their holes with.

Mountain Boy Minerals (TSXv : MTB) released assay results from their newly renamed 'SouthMore' property, (which sits next to Crystal Lakes' recent big hits), following up on work from the 1990s. This could be an interesting one as the property may eventually form a key part of 3 other company's projects... Whether its value is its own potential, or its potential to be sold to the highest bidder at a later date will become clear with next year's expanded program, either way, it's an interesting spot.

This week's best news...

This week we released an exclusive video from underground in Romania with our friends at EVA Creative. We climbed inside the Ditrau Alkaline complex and went exploring! it's a lesser known, but gigantic intrusion of nepheline syenites, lamprophyes and associated intrusive loveliness, geologically and scientifically stunning. Oh yes, and it's rammed full of rare earths, veins with 30-40% monazite up to 1m across, with limited Th and 200km of access tunnels left behind by Soviet exploration in the Union's hayday.

This project has been a sleeping 'Smaug' of Europe's mining industry for a long time, we have obviously known about it since the 1950s and have sat waiting patiently on it while REEs weren't in demand enough for something of this size. NOW however, with China & the USA having their lover's tiff and Australia failing for the xyz'th time to start meaningful alternative production... It is Ditrau's time to shine... And us Europeans are loving the idea of a regional sustainable source of REEs and Moly for our European manufacturing and industry.

The company behind Ditrau's development are Strategic Resources Central. A group of private Romanian & Hungarian investors with current operating mines in Stei (Romania) and a long history in the metals industry. They have the funding and skills to launch this. Spotlight Mining plan to be back on site with them next year and will certainly be following their projects closely. Currently this is the only place you can read about it in English, although we'll be working on changing that soon for them.

Have a great Weekend,
Liam
